Another picture I rescued from my box of old photos that was under the leaky roof. I nearly cried when I realized this one was barely touched.

All I can think is ... I HATE these styles. The lady on the left looks like a square box, while the poor woman on the right is cinched in so tight it's a wonder her hips aren't exploding!

I love the young lady in the bottom photo - her hairstyle, her shy smile, her beautiful dress, but most of all, the way her feet are turned in (she was probably nervous about having her picture taken).

Maybelline advertisement, and then some!

When I first decided to post this advertisement for Maybelline, I was going to make a silly comment about their choice of words - "NOTHING does so much for a woman" ...

Then I started reading the story about womens' intuition that is covering most of the page. These stories about Doris Day, Natalie Wood and Jane Wyman made me stop cold.

Larry and Gene at Gene & Aunt Lenora's

I found a scrapbook at the Goodwill Surplus store some time back. The pictures had been removed. As I paged through, I noticed several pages in the middle were stuck together. I pulled them apart, and found more than 20 old photos that someone missed. I pulled them out and bought them, because I couldn't bear to have them shredded.

I will start with these, and hopefully post more as I can.

German Countryside

I found this photo in my box of pictures that got wet from a dripping roof.

What memories! This was taken from the balcony of the apartment I lived in while in Germany. We could look off across the field, and liked to watch the high speed train that raced through several times a day.

Once we watched a hot air balloon drift over the field and out of sight.
