I finally unearthed one of my old photo albums from Europe - from the mid- to late-1980's.
One of the trips we took was to Amsterdam, where we took a boat tour of the canals ... I was a little nervous of going on the boat after seeing the one ahead of us heading for this very low bridge.
It ended up being one of the highlights of the trip!

Cool shot, Clytie! We had a six-hour layover in Amsterdam on our way to Kenya, and squeezed in a boat tour. It's a great way to get a quick overview of the city, isn't it?
I will come back when I have time to visit all your random blogs! I am most amused by your curious little card...would like to know more about the woman who did not object to the plastic pumpkin...with "she" underlined to indicate that others did object! How intriguing...:)
