Frankfurt (Germany) Zoo, 1980-something

A group of military family members decided to take a day trip to the Frankfurt Zoo ...
(we were stationed in Germany in the late 1980's)

I got a kick (not literally, of course!) out of this sign, which needed no translation.

And carefully watched for dangerous critters on the prowl ...

This is the only one I found!

In fact, most of the critters were down right lovable, right mom?

The End.

And if you scanned something to post, be sure to link it over at Al's "Sunday Scans".
Because we love to see YOUR old stuff!

That's a cute sign. It looks like a picture illustrating a nursery rhyme.

It's understood in ANY language! Watch your back!

You didn't need to speak the language to understand.

Cool sign. It's like I'm watching a personal photo album in someone's living room. Thanks.

"Only sheeps are allowed on the lawn."
I've not seen this before. But here in Germany we do have special signs. Especially "prohibited to walk on the lawn".

A good place to butt out.

Yes that sign would get the attention, cute. Never realised that zebra's ears stuck out so much, nobody sneaking up unheard on her.

Great sign, and I love the end photo! I'm having fun sorting through my old photos, I just found some from Holland and Belgium, including our first family pets (two cats).
