I have my grandmother's silver from 1920 and I treasure it! Each piece has her 3 initials engraved on it. Her name was Lois too, so that makes it even more special.
Now how did I miss this blog's start-up?? Did you mention it somewhere else and I missed it? If you didn't mention it, you should have! ;) I only found it now because I looked at your profile to see if you had an email address; wanted to thank you for all the lovely comments on my last few posts. So, thanks! And, nice new blog!
Some things are just too random to leave where I find them. These intrigue me. Like this 3x5" card I found in a batch of recipe cards I was going through ...
As life changes, I find myself far from what my dreams had imagined. Reality has found me caring for my elderly mom who is sliding deeper into Alzheimers ... every day has become a unique challenge. The best I can do is to try to life as normal as possible for those around me.

Dang! Too bad! Are you sure you can't just show up with the certificate and have an entire set of silverware replaced????
Too cool!

Well maybe since your silverware is missing that is reason for them replacing it? ;-}
