Found Photo - Larry and Jim

I hate seeing old photos in the bins at the thrift outlet store. I know the next stop for these treasures is the shredder.

I found this cute shot of "Larry & Jim Balder", along with several other vintage (1940's and 1950's) photos a couple of years ago.

I never really noticed the shadows before ...
I can almost picture that photographer, with the big clunky camera and the gigantic flash on top ...

Trying to get a couple of kids to stand still!

What a great photo. You're right--I'm not sure why people throw away such precious treasures. Wow! Love it!

I love this! And I'm glad to find you again after I lost access to my former blog "Scrappy Grams." I had neglected to have written down names of blogs that I loved.
I think that vintage photos might get tossed because no one identified the subjects of the photo, and that no one is left who could do the identifying. That's one of the reason I dived into scrapbooking after my husband died.

I think there's a pair of unwilling subjects! And that's just what gives this vintage photo so much character! Wonder why one name was scratched out? A story there somewhere?

I always get so sad when family photos are thrown away. Seems like it is rather common. Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas!
